IRCC 用 CLB 衡量英语能力，用 NCLC 衡量法语能力。Express Entry、部分省提名、护理/创业等项目会按具体项目要求查看四项能力是否达到对应 CLB。IRCC uses CLB for English and NCLC for French. Express Entry, some provincial pathways, caregiver, start-up, and other programs check whether all four skills meet the required benchmark.

CLB 也是加拿大成人英语能力的通用描述标准，常见于入籍语言要求、新移民语言课程、安家服务、职业培训和学习路径规划。CLB is also Canada’s common scale for adult English proficiency, used around citizenship language proof, newcomer language training, settlement services, workplace training, and education planning.
- 入籍通常关注听说能力是否达到要求。Citizenship language proof commonly focuses on listening and speaking.
- LINC/ESL 等课程常用 CLB 描述课程等级。Programs such as LINC/ESL often describe course levels using CLB.
- 雇主、培训机构和顾问可用 CLB 沟通语言目标。Employers, trainers, and advisors can use CLB as a shared language-level reference.
澳洲移民的区别How Australia differs
澳洲签证体系不使用 CLB 作为官方等级。澳洲通常看 Home Affairs 定义的 Functional、Vocational、Competent、Proficient、Superior English，以及具体签证类别接受的测试和分数。Australia does not use CLB as its official visa scale. It generally uses Home Affairs English levels such as Functional, Vocational, Competent, Proficient, and Superior English, plus the tests and scores required by each visa subclass.
- 澳洲常看 PTE Academic，不是 PTE Core。Australia commonly refers to PTE Academic, not PTE Core.
- 这张 CLB 表可辅助理解加拿大目标，不能直接当澳洲签证换算表。This CLB table helps with Canadian targets; it should not be used as an Australian visa conversion table.
- 澳洲分数要求近年有更新，递交前要查对应签证页。Australian score settings have changed recently, so check the relevant visa page before applying.
